The Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips sono un gruppo rock statunitense, formato ad Oklahoma City nel 1983 e ruotante attorno alla carismatica figura del leader Wayne Coyne, che li fondò dopo aver rubato degli strumenti musicali in una chiesa. Il gruppo è noto per i suoi arrangiamenti psichedelici ed i testi bizzarri, oltre che per gli strani titoli di album e canzoni, come ad esempio Pilot Can at the Queer of God, Talkin' 'Bout the Smiling Deathporn Immortality Blues (Everyone Wants to Live Forever), Free Radicals (A Hallucination of the Christmas Skeleton Pleading with a Suicide Bomber) e Yeah, I Know It's a Drag... But Wastin' Pigs Is Still Radical.
